Each Fairwood Crest HOA committee includes a board trustee as liaison to the board.
Any number of HOA members may volunteer on any committee, but the HOA Board requests that no HOA member volunteer for more than three committees, and no board trustee act as liaison for more than three committees. If you would like to volunteer on a committee, contact info@fairwoodcrest.com. Mention the committee(s) you are interested in and a brief explanation as to why and/or past experience that may be of help.
As is with any HOA Board of Trustee meeting (other than an exceptional and rare executive meeting), all HOA members have the right to attend any committee meeting.
This committee attempts to preempt compliance enforcement fines through direct contact with HOA members as committee member time allows. One goal of this HOA Board of Trustees is to function more humanely and less punitively. This less-punitive approach is also consistent with FC HOA R&R section VII.A.3.
If you have questions about community regulatory-compliance issues, send your inquiries to info@fairwoodcrest.com. A board trustee is likely to respond within 24 hours.
This committee is responsible for procuring three bids for most projects affecting the community common grounds, projects of which the HOA Board of Trustees has approved. This committee may also perform voluntary actions such as placing holiday lights at the community entrance at 140th Ave., installing signage, and providing input to the common-grounds maintenance contractor.
Past projects have included procuring an electrician to repair and upgrade the brick-post lamps at the entrance at 140th Ave., and procuring a report from a professional arborist regarding the conditions of trees, and related recommendations, in the community parks. HOA-member project suggestions include replacing all common-area plantings with drought-resistant plants (to eliminate water consumption and a related irrigation water bill), and creating an area similarly planted on a large section of the park between 132nd and 133rd Pl SE.
This committed is responsible for occasionally meeting to examine and discuss, usually with the Board of Trustee Treasurer, the HOA budget, and make suggestions to plan for audits, future expenditures, fiscal responsibility, and/or to recommend improved costs of services.
This committee is responsible for planning and implementing community events, including budgeting of funds, procuring materials such as food and vendors (food trucks, etc.), equipment from storage, and setting up and breaking down events.
